Virginia High School Basketball - Salem edges Hidden Valley
December 20, 2022: Roanoke, VA 24018 The Salem Spartans (Salem, VA) basketball nipped the host Hidden Valley Titans (Roanoke, VA), 50-45 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Spartans (7-2) will now prepare for their test against Staunton River (Moneta, VA). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Staunton River was tipped by Patrick County (Stuart, VA), 52-34, in a non-league test.
The Titans now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Pulaski County for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 3. Hidden Valley will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 44-37 non-league win over George Wythe (Wytheville, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 4-2.
