Houston Mustangs (Germantown, TN) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Briarcrest Christian Saints (Eads, TN), 70-67 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Houston upgrades its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Memphis Home Education Association (Memphis, TN) to play the in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The come into the bout with a record of 12-4. Memphis Home Education Association won 61-37 in their recent non-league bout against St. George's (Collierville, TN)

Next up, the Saints play the St. George's Gryphons (Collierville, TN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Briarcrest Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Gryphons come into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 61-37 non-league loss to Memphis Home Education Association (Memphis, TN).
