New Mexico High School Basketball - Wingate thwarts Crownpoint
December 20, 2024: Fort Wingate, NM 87316 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Wingate Bears (Fort Wingate, NM) and the visiting Crownpoint Eagles (Crownpoint, NM), observed Wingate's basketball team knock off Crownpoint by a score of 56-39.
The Bears (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, Hot Springs prevailed over Zuni (Zuni, NM), 58-40, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 21. Crownpoint will attempt to improve on its 3-6 season record.
