The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) and the visiting Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC), observed East Lincoln's basketball team edge Hickory by a score of 87-81.

The Mustangs (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Wolf Pack come into the non-league challenge with a 1-9 record. In their last challenge, Parkwood was tipped by Forest Hills (Marshville, NC), 66-51, in a league challenge.
