East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host North Iredell Raiders (Olin, NC), 61-58 in a league match.

With the victory, East Lincoln advances its record to 17-6 on the year. The Mustangs travel to North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC) to meet the Knights in a 3A Western Foothills match on Friday, February 14. The Knights enter the match with a record of 17-5. North Lincoln won 87-71 in their recent league match against West Iredell (Statesville, NC)

The Raiders now own a 7-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Iredell for a 3A Western Foothills match on Friday, February 14.
