North Carolina High School Basketball - SouthWest Edgecombe nudges Greene Central

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC) and the host Greene Central Rams (Snow Hill, NC), observed SouthWest Edgecombe's basketball team edge Greene Central by a score of 55-50.

The Cougars (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, North Edgecombe was tipped by West Craven (Vanceboro, NC), 57-45, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Rams encounter the D.H. Conley Vikings (Greenville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 26. Greene Central will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 48-46 league loss to Northside - Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC).
