The SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC) basketball edged the host North Lenoir Hawks (LaGrange, NC), 42-35 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Cougars now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fike for a non-league outing on Wednesday, December 4. SouthWest Edgecombe will clash with a Demons squad coming off a 81-55 non-league win over Southern Nash (Bailey, NC). The Demons record now stands at 3-0.
