The Montgomery Bears basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the host Lake Creek Lions to 54 in the Bears league victory on Tuesday.

The Bears now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Midway for a non-league contest on Monday, December 27. Montgomery will battle a Panthers team coming off a 59-53 league win over Waxahachie (Waxahachie, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 12-5.

The Lions (8-10) will now prepare for their bout against Monterey (Lubbock, TX). The Plainsmen go into the non-league bout with a 8-8 record. In their last bout, Monterey was edged by Canyon (Canyon, TX), 59-46, in a non-league bout.
