Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the South Sumter Raiders (Bushnell, FL) and the host Hernando Leopards (Brooksville, FL), saw South Sumter's basketball squad wallop Hernando by a tally of 79-43.

With the victory, South Sumter improves its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Lecanto (Lecanto, FL) to confront the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 6. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 9-1.

Next up, the Leopards confront the Springstead Eagles (Spring Hill, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Hernando will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 56-54 non-league loss to Land O' Lakes (Land O' Lakes, FL).
