December 21, 2023: South Boston, VA 24592 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Person Rockets (Roxboro, NC) and the host Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA), saw Person's basketball squad overcome Halifax County by a tally of 43-23.
With the victory, Person improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Rockets travel to Apex Friendship (Apex, NC) to confront the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 26. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 7-0. Apex Friendship won 61-41 in their recent league challenge against Middle Creek (Apex, NC)
Next up, the Comets confront the George Washington Eagles (Danville, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Halifax County will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 69-42 non-league loss to Martinsville (Martinsville, VA).
