In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Midd-West Mustangs basketball team scored a big 59-26 triumph over the Newport Buffaloes.

The Mustangs (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Shikellamy (Sunbury, PA). The Braves go into the Heartland I contest with a 1-7 record.

In their next game, the Buffaloes confront the West Perry Mustangs (Elliottsburg, PA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 27. Newport will attempt to better on its 0-7 season record.
