Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Juniata fells Newport

The Juniata Indians basketball team scored 50 points and limited the host Newport Buffaloes to 37 in the Indians league triumph on Monday.

The Indians now have a 7-7 record. They play next when they host Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy for a Tri-Valley game on Friday, January 24. Juniata will confront a WolfPack team coming off a 46-33 league loss to Greenwood (Millerstown, PA). The WolfPack record now stands at 8-6.

In their next game, the Buffaloes battle the East Juniata Tigers (McAlisterville, PA) in a Tri-Valley contest, on Friday, January 24. Newport will attempt to better on its 1-14 season record. The Tigers come into the contest with a 4-11 record after their 63-50 league loss to Upper Dauphin Area (Elizabethville, PA).
