North Carolina High School Basketball - Fairmont crushes Red Springs

December 22, 2023: Red Springs, NC 28377

Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Red Springs Red Devils (Red Springs, NC), 46-20 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Fairmont upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Golden Tornadoes travel to Ashley (Wilmington, NC) to play the Screaming Eagle in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Screaming Eagle go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Ashley lost 48-22 in their recent league bout against Laney (Wilmington, NC)

Next up, the Red Devils play the Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 23. Red Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 1-6 record after their 59-37 non-league loss to St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC).
