Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Stryker Panthers (Stryker, OH) and the visiting Montpelier Locomotives (Montpelier, OH), saw Stryker's basketball squad hold off Montpelier by a count of 51-50.

With the victory, Stryker advances its record to 5-4 on the season. The Panthers travel to Gorham Fayette (Fayette, OH) to encounter the Eagles in a Buckeye Border test on Thursday, January 4. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 3-3.

The Locomotives now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they host Lakewood Park Christian for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 2. Montpelier will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 49-34 non-league loss to Elkhart Christian Academy (Elkhart, IN). The Panthers record now stands at 1-7.
