Kickapoo Chiefs (Springfield, MO) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Aurora Hound Dawgs (Aurora, MO), 70-56 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Kickapoo upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Chiefs travel to Spokane (Spokane, MO) to play the Owls in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 27. The Owls go into the bout with a record of 6-1. Spokane won 49-40 in their recent non-league bout against Mansfield (Mansfield, MO)

Next up, the Hound Dawgs play the Cassville Wildcats (Cassville, MO) in a Big 8 bout, on Friday, January 4. Aurora will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 45-33 non-league win over Wheaton (Wheaton, MO).
