The Yerington Lions topped the visiting Pyramid Lake Lakers basketball team by a final score of 53-41 in Tuesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Lions face the West Wendover Wolverines (West Wendover, NV) in a 2A Northern game, on Friday, January 6. Yerington will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Wolverines enter the game with a 5-6 record after their 74-49 non-league loss to Sports Leadership & Management (Henderson, NV).

With the defeat, Pyramid Lake moves to 5-5 on the year. The Lakers host Bishop Union (Bishop, CA) to face the Broncos in a non-league game on Wednesday, January 4.
