Alabama High School Basketball - Austin nips McAdory
December 27, 2023: Decatur, AL 35601 Austin Black Bears (Decatur, AL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting McAdory Yellowjackets (McCalla, AL), 57-53 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Austin upgrades its record to 14-3 on the season. The Black Bears travel to Priceville (Priceville, AL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 2-11. Priceville lost 52-25 in their recent non-league bout against Decatur Heritage Christian Academy (Decatur, AL)
Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Buckhorn Bucks (New Market, AL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. McAdory will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Bucks go into the bout with a 13-5 record after their 63-62 non-league loss to Centennial (Franklin, TN).
