December 27, 2024: Abernathy, TX 79311 The Slaton Tigers (Slaton, TX) basketball crushed the host Abernathy Antelopes (Abernathy, TX), 71-45 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Tigers now possess a 15-3 record. They play next when they travel to McKinney Christian Academy for a non-league bout on Saturday, December 28. Slaton will play a Mustangs team coming off a 60-41 non-league win over Itasca (Itasca, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 25-1.
With the loss, Abernathy falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Antelopes host Ralls (Ralls, TX) to play the Jackrabbits in a 2A Region I District 4 bout on Tuesday, December 31. The Jackrabbits go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Ralls lost 58-42 in their recent league bout against New Deal (New Deal, TX)
