Texas High School Basketball - New Home triumphant over Abernathy
January 14, 2025: New Home, TX 79383 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the New Home Leopards (New Home, TX) and the visiting Abernathy Antelopes (Abernathy, TX), observed New Home's basketball team overwhelm Abernathy by a score of 58-35.
The Leopards (15-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Ralls (Ralls, TX). The Jackrabbits come into the 2A Region I District 4 challenge with a 4-9 record. In their last challenge, Ralls was routed by Floydada (Floydada, TX), 94-54, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Antelopes encounter the New Deal Lions (New Deal, TX) in a 2A Region I District 4 challenge, on Friday, January 17. Abernathy will attempt to improve on its 13-8 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 12-12 record after their 70-45 non-league win over Smyer (Smyer, TX).
