Texas High School Basketball - New Home bests Abernathy
February 7, 2025: Abernathy, TX 79311 The New Home Leopards (New Home, TX) basketball toppled the host Abernathy Antelopes (Abernathy, TX), 58-42 in Friday's league bout.
The Leopards now possess a 20-5 record. They play next when they host Ralls for a 2A Region I District 4 bout on Tuesday, February 11. New Home will play a Jackrabbits team coming off a 97-31 league loss to Floydada (Floydada, TX). The Jackrabbits record now stands at 4-14.
With the loss, Abernathy falls to 17-10 on the campaign. The Antelopes travel to New Deal (New Deal, TX) to play the Lions in a 2A Region I District 4 bout on Tuesday, February 11. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 15-15. New Deal lost 87-45 in their recent league bout against New Home (New Home, TX)
