December 27, 2024: Metlakatla, AK 99926 Nome-Beltz Nanooks (Nome, AK) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Metlakatla Chiefs (Metlakatla, AK), 59-50 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Nome-Beltz advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Nanooks host Unalakleet (Unalakleet, AK) to meet the Wolfpack in a non-league match on Thursday, January 9. The Wolfpack enter the match with a record of 0-0.
The Chiefs now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Everett for a non-league match on Saturday, December 28. Metlakatla will meet a Seagulls squad coming off a 61-60 non-league loss to Lathrop (Fairbanks, AK). The Seagulls record now stands at 2-6.
