Maryland High School Basketball - Oakdale thwarts Glenelg
December 27, 2024: Ijamsville, MD 21754 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Oakdale (Ijamsville, MD) and the visiting Glenelg Gladiators (Glenelg, MD), observed Oakdale's basketball team knock off Glenelg by a score of 44-24.
The (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against North Hagerstown (Hagerstown, MD). The Hubs come into the Central Maryland challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, North Hagerstown was knocked off by Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD), 42-24, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Gladiators encounter the Wilde Lake Wildecats (Columbia, MD) in a Howard County challenge, on Friday, January 3. Glenelg will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Wildecats come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 41-27 league loss to Howard (Ellicott City, MD).
