Vermont High School Basketball - Springfield thwarts Long Trail
December 27, 2024: Springfield, VT 05156 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Springfield Cosmos (Springfield, VT) and the visiting Long Trail (Dorset, VT), observed Springfield's basketball team knock off Long Trail by a score of 45-35.
The Cosmos (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Brattleboro (Brattleboro, VT). The Bears come into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Brattleboro dropped by St. Johnsbury Academy (St. Johnsbury, VT), 46-30, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the battle the Mill River Minutemen (North Clarendon, VT) in a Marble Valley - B challenge, on Monday, December 30. Long Trail will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Minutemen come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 39-30 league win over Proctor (Proctor, VT).
