Madison East Purgolders (Madison, WI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Madison Memorial Spartans (Madison, WI), 62-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Madison East upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Purgolders host Beloit Memorial (Beloit, WI) to play the Purple Knights in a Big Eight bout on Friday, February 4. The Purple Knights go into the bout with a record of 3-8.

Next up, the Spartans play the Middleton Cardinals (Middleton, WI) in a Big Eight bout, on Saturday, January 29. Madison Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record.
