Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) and the visiting Cabarrus Charter Huskies (Concord, NC), saw North Stanly's basketball squad wallop Cabarrus Charter by a count of 76-48.

With the victory, North Stanly upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Comets travel to South Stanly (Norwood, NC) to play the Rowdy Rebel Bulls in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 29. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls come into the challenge with a record of 2-7. South Stanly won 61-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Central Academy (Monroe, NC)

Next up, the Huskies play the Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC) in a 1A Conference 38 challenge, on Friday, January 6. Cabarrus Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 65-59 non-league loss to Burns (Lawndale, NC).
