The Monroe Redhawks basketball team (Monroe, NC), was nudged 49-43 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC)

The Vikings now possess a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sun Valley for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 29. Central Cabarrus will battle a Spartans team coming off a 42-32 non-league win over Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 6-5.
