In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC) basketball squad edged the host Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC), by a count of 59-53.

The Vikings (17-9) will now prepare for their outing against West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC). The Falcons go into the 3A Conference 48 outing with a 24-0 record. In their last outing, West Rowan held off Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC), 81-24, in a non-league outing.

The Trojans now hold a 15-7 record.
