North Carolina High School Basketball - Carson ripped by Northwest Cabarrus

January 6, 2023: China Grove, NC 28023

The Northwest Cabarrus Trojans basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Carson Cougars to 16 in the Trojans league triumph on Friday.

The Trojans now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Concord for a 3A Conference 48 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Northwest Cabarrus will battle a Spiders team coming off a 48-28 non-league loss to Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC). The Spiders record now stands at 2-11.

The Cougars (2-11) will now prepare for their contest against East Rowan (Salisbury, NC). The Mustangs enter the 3A Conference 48 contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, East Rowan was routed by Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC), 61-57, in a league contest.
