In Friday's league match, the host West Rowan Falcons basketball team scored a decisive 68-40 triumph over the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans.

In their next game, the Falcons meet the Lake Norman Charter Knights (Huntersville, NC) in a 3A Conference 48 match, on Tuesday, January 31. West Rowan will attempt to move on its 19-0 season record. The Knights enter the match with a 12-6 record after their 64-35 league win over East Rowan (Salisbury, NC).

With the defeat, Northwest Cabarrus moves to 11-6 on the year. The Trojans host Carson (China Grove, NC) to meet the Cougars in a 3A Conference 48 match on Tuesday, January 31.
