The Carson Cougars basketball team (China Grove, NC), was overwhelmed 61-36 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC)

The Vikings now possess a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Charlotte Christian for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 14. Central Cabarrus will confront a Knights team coming off a 71-20 non-league loss to Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, NC). The Knights record now stands at 3-12.

The Cougars (2-14) will now prepare for their battle against South Rowan (China Grove, NC). The Raiders come into the 3A Conference 48 battle with a 5-9 record. In their last battle, South Rowan trounced East Rowan (Salisbury, NC), 43-40, in a league battle.
