Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting South Rowan Raiders (China Grove, NC), 48-34 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Carson upgrades its record to 2-7 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 29. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 8-0. West Rowan won 74-12 in their recent league bout against South Rowan (China Grove, NC)

Next up, the Raiders play the East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 29. South Rowan will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 77-33 non-league loss to North Rowan (Spencer, NC).
