North Carolina High School Basketball - Northwest Cabarrus crushes Monroe

Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC), 45-17 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Northwest Cabarrus upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Trojans travel to Carson (China Grove, NC) to clash with the Cougars in a 3A Conference 48 bout on Friday, January 6. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 2-9.

Next up, the Redhawks clash with the Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) in a 2A/3A Conference 44 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Monroe will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 45-30 non-league loss to Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC).
