East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC), 40-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, East Rowan upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Mustangs travel to North Rowan (Spencer, NC) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 30. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 7-2. North Rowan won 42-21 in their recent non-league bout against Carson (China Grove, NC)

Next up, the Cougars play the A.L. Brown Wonders (Kannapolis, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Carson will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record.
