The Sherman Bearcats basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Crandall Pirates to 52 in the Bearcats non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Bearcats now sport a 19-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ennis for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 28. Sherman will battle a Lions team coming off a 86-41 non-league win over Kemp (Kemp, TX). The Lions record now stands at 3-12.

The Pirates (8-12) will now prepare for their contest against Terrell (Terrell, TX). The Tigers enter the 5A Region II District 14 contest with a 0-12 record. In their last contest, Terrell was nudged by Roosevelt (Dallas, TX), 83-24, in a non-league contest.
