Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the McGuffey Highlanders (Claysville, PA) and the visiting Fort Cherry Rangers (McDonald, PA), saw McGuffey's basketball squad overcome Fort Cherry by a tally of 53-43.

With the victory, McGuffey improves its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Highlanders host South Park (South Park, PA) to confront the Eagles in a WPIAL 3A 4 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 4-2.
