Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Fox Chapel knocked off by Shady Side Academy
December 28, 2023: Pittsburgh, PA 15238 The Shady Side Academy Bulldogs basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Fox Chapel Foxes to 45 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Apollo Ridge for a WPIAL 3A 3 contest on Tuesday, January 2. Shady Side Academy will meet a Vikings team coming off a 39-21 non-league loss to Riverview (Oakmont, PA). The Vikings record now stands at 3-4.
The Foxes (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Mars (Mars, PA). The Fightin' Planets enter the WPIAL 5A 2 contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Mars was outscored by Highlands (Natrona Heights, PA), 46-33, in a non-league contest.
