Maine High School Basketball - Leavitt ripped by Spruce Mountain
December 28, 2023: Turner, ME 04282 The Spruce Mountain Phoenix basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Leavitt Hornets to 35 in the Phoenix league triumph on Thursday.
The Phoenix now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Maranacook for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 3. Spruce Mountain will meet a Black Bears team coming off a 62-16 league win over Waterville (Waterville, ME). The Black Bears record now stands at 4-1.
The Hornets (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Morse (Bath, ME). The Shipbuilders enter the B South contest with a 0-6 record. In their last contest, Morse was routed by Medomak Valley (Waldoboro, ME), 62-18, in a league contest.
