The La Plata Warriors (La Plata, MD) basketball crushed the host Calvert Cavaliers (Prince Frederick, MD), 60-34 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Warriors now possess a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Great Mills for a Southern Maryland bout on Friday, January 3. La Plata will play a Hornets team coming off a 85-62 non-league loss to Laurel (Laurel, MD). The Hornets record now stands at 3-1.
