In Wednesday's league contest, the host Calvert Cavaliers basketball team scored a close 70-64 win over the Patuxent Panthers.

The Cavaliers (2-20) will now prepare for their contest against McDonough (Pomfret, MD). The Rams come into the Southern Maryland contest with a 11-9 record. In their last contest, McDonough was tipped by Northern (Owings, MD), 71-59, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Huntingtown Hurricanes (Huntingtown, MD) in a Southern Maryland contest, on Thursday, February 20. Patuxent will attempt to better on its 1-18 season record. The Hurricanes come into the contest with a 12-8 record after their 79-61 league loss to Lackey (Indian Head, MD).
