In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Maconaquah Braves basketball team scored a good 71-63 triumph over the Peru Tigers.

The Braves (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Whitko (South Whitley, IN). The Wildcats go into the Three Rivers contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Whitko was toppled by Covenant Christian (Indianapolis, IN), 63-52, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Tigers confront the Northwestern Tigers (Kokomo, IN) in a Three Rivers contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Peru will attempt to better on its 5-4 season record.
