The Rincon/University Rangers (Tucson, AZ) basketball edged the visiting Amphitheater Panthers (Tucson, AZ), 43-37 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Rangers now possess a 8-5 record. They play next when they host Mountain View for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. Rincon/University will play a Mountain Lions team coming off a 53-41 non-league loss to Baboquivari (Sells, AZ). The Mountain Lions record now stands at 2-9.

With the loss, Amphitheater falls to 5-6 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Sabino (Tucson, AZ) to play the Sabercats in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 9. The Sabercats go into the bout with a record of 9-7.
