In Saturday's non-league test, the Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX) basketball squad trounced the host Edinburg North Cougars (Edinburg, TX), by a score of 63-15.

Next, the Chargers encounter the St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds (Brownsville, TX) in a non-league test, on Monday, December 30. Veterans Memorial will attempt to improve on its 23-4 season record.

The Cougars (7-17) will now prepare for their test against Hanna (Brownsville, TX). The Golden Eagles come into the non-league test with a 7-13 record.
