Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host San Benito Greyhounds (San Benito, TX), 52-34 in a league match.

With the victory, Veterans Memorial advances its record to 27-5 on the year. The Chargers travel to Harlingen (Harlingen, TX) to face the Cardinals in a 6A Region IV District 32 match on Tuesday, January 21. The Cardinals enter the match with a record of 23-7.

The Greyhounds now own a 19-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Harlingen for a 6A Region IV District 32 match on Friday, January 17. San Benito will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 54-45 league win over Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 23-7.
