General McLane Lancers (Edinboro, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Girard Yellowjackets (Girard, PA), 44-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, General McLane upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Lancers travel to Titusville (Titusville, PA) to clash with the Rockets in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 6-3. Titusville won 61-55 in their recent non-league bout against Cochranton (Cochranton, PA)

Next up, the Yellowjackets clash with the North East Grape Pickers (North East, PA) in a District 10 Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Girard will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record.
