In Thursday's non-league match, the host Stoneham Spartans basketball team scored a good 85-68 triumph over the Ipswich Tigers.

In their next game, the Spartans meet the Winchester Red & Black (Winchester, MA) in a Middlesex match, on Tuesday, January 3. Stoneham will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record.
