The Apex Friendship Patriots basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Panther Creek Catamounts to 42 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Patriots now sport a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Apex for a 4A Conference 29 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Apex Friendship will meet a Cougars team coming off a 60-31 non-league win over Hoke County (Raeford, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 4-8.

The Catamounts (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Middle Creek (Apex, NC). The Mustangs enter the 4A Conference 29 contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Middle Creek was defeated by Rocky Mount (Rocky Mount, NC), 66-34, in a non-league contest.
