The Buffaloes now possess a 18-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lometa for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 3. Cross Plains will battle a Hornets team coming off a 31-29 non-league loss to Llano (Llano, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 1-3.
The Wildcats (6-10) will now prepare for their battle against Poolville (Poolville, TX). The Monarchs come into the 2A Region II District 11 battle with a 6-12 record. In their last battle, Poolville was nudged by Gordon (Gordon, TX), 47-40, in a non-league battle.
