Maine High School Basketball - Ellsworth overwhelms Orono
December 29, 2022: Ellsworth, ME 04605 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Ellsworth Eagles (Ellsworth, ME) and the visiting Orono Riots (Orono, ME), saw Ellsworth's basketball squad wallop Orono by a tally of 80-15.
With the victory, Ellsworth improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host Caribou (Caribou, ME) to confront the Vikings in a B North challenge on Friday, December 30. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 3-1. Caribou won 52-37 in their recent league challenge against Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME)
Next up, the Riots confront the Old Town Coyotes (Old Town, ME) in a B North challenge, on Saturday, December 31. Orono will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Coyotes come into the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 68-25 league win over Maine Central Institute (Pittsfield, ME).
