Ellsworth Eagles (Ellsworth, ME) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Mount Desert Island Trojans (Mount Desert, ME), 68-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ellsworth upgrades its record to 15-3 on the season. The Eagles travel to Caribou (Caribou, ME) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 22. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 18-3. Caribou won 68-39 in their recent non-league bout against Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME)
