Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Laurel Spartan (New Castle, PA) and the visiting Wilmington Greyhounds (New Wilmington, PA), saw Laurel's basketball squad wallop Wilmington by a tally of 60-29.

With the victory, Laurel improves its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Spartan host Shenango (New Castle, PA) to confront the Wildcats in a WPIAL 2A 1 challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 5-2. Shenango won 71-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Hopewell (Aliquippa, PA)
